DAN O'HARA

During over 17 years as a professional political operative, Dan O’Hara has worked for candidates across the country — serving races ranging from local elections to presidential campaigns.

Dan has worked on several extraordinarily challenging races, and doesn't shy-away from tough contests. 

​

Dan’s passion for politics began more than two decades ago, when he served as the treasurer of the Young Democrats of Maryland. His first campaign staff position was as the Volunteer Coordinator for a successful Maryland State Senate race in 2006. During the 2008 election cycle, he worked on presidential campaigns in Iowa, Minnesota, and Ohio, and a congressional campaign in New York State.

Since then, Dan has served as a senior staffer on numerous congressional and state-wide campaigns — with a focus on developing the campaigns’ message, as well as planning and executing intensive voter contact and Get Out The Vote programs.

A native of New Jersey, Dan has lived in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC — and currently resides in Birmingham, AL. He is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants, and has contributed articles to both BamaPolitics.com and Smerconish.com.
